Stamping out the stigma surrounding people with learning disabilities.

How we work

People with learning disabilities represent one of the most marginalised minority groups in society. Their needs and concerns are commonly ignored and suppressed. At Llewelyn Support Foundation, we want to end the stigma surrounding individuals with learning disabilities and provide them with the support they need to integrate into their local communities.

Our objective is to provide transformational support for people with learning disabilities from mental institutions and hospitals by ensuring that challenging behaviour is integrated strategically through community-based rehabilitation. We also work to ensure they enjoy rights available to all human beings, regardless of their disability.

Our operational settings comprise of several houses that facilitate supported living settings. In this way, individuals with learning disabilities can integrate with the wider neighbourhood more easily and have the opportunity to develop and maintain vital links with the community and society.

If you need help or know someone that does, contact us for support and find out more about what we do.
